Get ready for the 2024 , where Italy takes centre stage. This festival has been around since the swinging '60s, mainly to help everyone get along and maybe even swap some recipes along the way. Cowra's had quite the past, what with being the proud home of Australia's World Peace Bell—a shiny bell that reminds us all of lessons learned during war and the infamous 1944 POW Breakout, which nobody really put on their travel brochure.

So, what's in store? Well, kick things off with the Tree Planting Ceremony, which basically says, "Hey, let's grow some friendship." Then there's the Ringing of the Cowra Peace Bell, a fancy way of saying, "Listen up, folks." After that, prepare to witness a Street Parade and Carnival that's bound to make you feel like a kid again—complete with floats that might be better than your last birthday cake. And of course, who could forget the Cowra Duck Race? Yep, that's right, where rubber ducks take a leisurely float and bragging rights are earned. With the Youth Ambassadors in tow, you'll get the scoop on how to live your best life—and possibly how to make real Italian pasta.
